METROPOLITAN is the newest member of the Must Hear music coming out of the Dominican Republic.
Their debut album titled “Pop Deluxe” is a Pop-rock album with a retro edge. Their first single penned by Dominican Icon Juan Luis Guerra became a Billboard Chart Topper in 1991 by Mexican star Emmanuel. The band takes “No He Podido Verte” and makes it their own, their fresh approach has fans twittering “One of the few Remakes that is as great as the the original”.
Panky the Lead Singer, songwriter and producer wrote most of Pop Deluxe’s original songs. While Luinis the bands Drummer, Producer, worked on the musical arrangements and sound. Rocky, the lead guitar is an accomplished classical guitarrist musician. All three blend their unique talent and stage presence to METROPOLITAN.
After a full year of hard work the album was mixed by Matt Knobel, who has worked with artist such as Michael Jackson, JZ, Billy Joel, Beyonce y Lenny Kravitz and masterized by Christian Wright at Abbey Road studios in London.
Although this is the first album released under METROPOLITAN, this is Panky and Luinis’s third collabo. The first two, with the group Panky y los Manolos, in which they took the islands most coveted award Premio Casandra. With Pop Deluxe METROPOLITAN is poised to storm the international stage.
